Born in Doncaster, Yorkshire in the early 60's, I can just about remember the scooterists bombing around the streets of Balby and Armthorpe on their Lambrettas and Vespas.   The music of that era obviously had an effect on me as many of my favourite soul records come from the Golden Decade of 1966 - 1976.

Since the mid 70's I have been interested in DJing and have over the years had some fantastic sets at various events in and around the UK and Europe and more recently The USA.

My record collection by some standards isn't massive, I buy records that I like to dance to and hope that the audiences I play to will appreciate the quality soul content in my sets. I do still like to hear and play some standard oldies too, but I get a big buzz from hearing something that is underplayed or new. I have a few memories that I will cherish for a long time. My recent trip to Chicago & Detroit was very rewarding. Meeting such legends as Bobby Hutton, Cicero Blake, Ruby Andrews, Carl Carlton, Spyder Turner, Syl Johnson, Francis Nero, Jimmy Burns, Jo Ann Garret, Lou Pride. The highlight of the trip for me was meeting the Legendary Mel Britt see above
